Project Description
As Wesleyan Universityβs first-ever Social Media Manager, I drove brand strategy and content creation for the Universityβs primary social media channels from 2016-2018. With the goals of improving the view of the brand, increasing community engagement, and promoting more diverse recruitment, I focused on amplifying student and alumni voices and created a cohesive and data-driven approach to social media across campus.
I managed the complete digital content process from ideation and strategy to design, copywriting, and reporting, creating and maintaining platforms for all members of the Wesleyan community to feel heard and celebrated. I managed a team of student employees to assist me in this mission and held regular cross-departmental meetings and seminars to mentor other departments on social media strategy, best practices, design, and execution. I led social media coverage of major University events and collaborated with internal and external vendors to create several successful social-first content campaigns.
